Delete your account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Shortlify account — on the web and in the Virtual Tour Android app — and exactly what gets erased.

Which app and developer this applies to

This page covers the Shortlify service at shortlify.art and the Android app Virtual Tour (package com.ia.shortlify, listed on Google Play as shortlify ia video), published by Shortlify SAS, 16 rue Saint-Sabin, 75011 Paris, France. Both use the same account, so deleting your account removes your data from both.

How to request deletion

Send us the request from the Google address you signed in with:

  1. Email contact@shortlify.art with the subject “Delete my account”.
  2. Send it from the email address of the account you want deleted. That is how we verify the request — we will never ask you for a password.
  3. We confirm by email once the deletion is done, normally within a few days and in all cases within 30 days of the request.

In the Android app you can find the same address under Settings. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your account — it only removes the session from that device.

What is deleted

Everything below is permanently erased and cannot be recovered:

  • Account data — your email address, name and profile picture obtained from Google Sign-In.
  • Photos you uploaded — the property images used to build your tours, including the copies held in our object storage.
  • Videos we generated for you, along with their thumbnails.
  • Your projects — drafts, storyboards, prompts, titles and every other piece of content you typed.
  • Session tokens and push notification tokens registered by your devices.
  • Your credit balance and plan. Unused credits are forfeited on deletion and are not refundable.

What we keep, and for how long

Two narrow categories survive deletion, because the law requires it. Neither is used to profile you or to contact you.

  • Transaction records (date, amount, tax, product purchased, invoice number) — kept for 10 years as required of French companies by article L123-22 of the Code de commerce, and by EU VAT rules. Card numbers are never stored by us; payments are processed by Stripe and Google Play.
  • Security and abuse-prevention logs (IP address, timestamp) — kept for a maximum of 90 days, then deleted automatically.

Backups are rotated continuously; any residual copy of deleted data disappears from backup media within 90 days at the latest.

Deleting only part of your data

You do not have to close your account to remove content. Ask us at the same address to delete specific tours, uploaded photos or generated videos, and we will do it while leaving your account and credits intact.

Your other rights

Deletion is one of the rights you hold under the GDPR, alongside access, correction, portability and objection. Our Privacy Policy describes all of them. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority.
