Cookie Policy

The full list of what we store on your device, why, and for how long. Short version: authentication, plus analytics only if you say yes.

Essential — always on

These make the site work. They carry no advertising identifier and cannot be switched off, because without them you could not stay signed in.

NamePurposeLifetime
next-auth.session-tokenKeeps you signed in between pages.30 days
next-auth.csrf-tokenBlocks cross-site request forgery on sign-in.Session
next-auth.callback-urlReturns you to the right page after sign-in.Session

On HTTPS these names are prefixed with __Secure-. They are set by us, never by a third party, and are not readable from JavaScript.

Your choice — stored locally

Your answer to the cookie banner is kept in your browser’s local storage under ga-consent, with the value granted or denied. It never leaves your device. We keep it so the banner does not ask again on every visit.

Analytics — only if you accept

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and where they get stuck. The script is not loaded at all until you press Accept — refuse, and none of the cookies below are ever created.

NamePurposeLifetime
_gaDistinguishes one visitor from another.2 years
_ga_<container id>Keeps the session state for GA4.2 years

IP anonymisation is enabled, and we send Google no personal identifier — not your email, not your account. Data is processed by Google LLC under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

What we do not use

No advertising cookies. No retargeting or remarketing pixels. No social network trackers. No data broker, no audience selling, and nothing that follows you onto other websites.

Changing your mind

Refusing costs one click and is as prominent as accepting — no buried menus. To change an answer you already gave, clear this site’s data in your browser settings (or the ga-consent entry in local storage) and the banner reappears on your next visit. Deleting existing _ga cookies is done from the same screen.

Blocking every cookie in your browser also works. Analytics simply stops; only the sign-in cookies would break, so you would be browsing signed out.
