Built for
  • Independent real estate agents who want to post daily reels without paying a videographer.
  • Boutique agencies marketing luxury villas, beachfront properties, or urban lofts.
  • Property developers creating pre-launch campaigns for new builds.
  • Short-term rental hosts (Airbnb, Booking) producing hero videos to drive direct bookings.
How Shortlify makes it work
  1. 01
    Step 1

Upload your listing photos (or describe the property)

Two options. For real properties, upload 3–8 photos per room and use Image-to-Video so the listing stays 100% faithful to the actual house. For concepts, pre-launches, or luxury renderings, write a short prompt — "modern glass villa with infinity pool overlooking the ocean at dusk" — and Multishot mode generates the scenes from scratch.

  2. 02
    Step 2

Describe the camera motion for each scene

Slow push-in through the front door, orbit around the kitchen island, dolly toward the floor-to-ceiling window, aerial reveal of the outdoor terrace. A single sentence per scene controls the cinematography. Change it, regenerate in 30 seconds if the motion feels off.

  3. 03
    Step 3

Render vertical for social, horizontal for MLS

One-click 9:16 export for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. 16:9 for MLS listings, Zillow, Rightmove or your agency website. Add the address + price as an overlay, layer the soft cinematic soundtrack built into Shortlify, download the final MP4.

Prompt ideas that work
Modern glass villa at dusk with infinity pool overlooking the Pacific ocean, warm interior lights glowing.
Minimalist Scandinavian apartment tour, morning light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows, oak floors.
Tuscan stone farmhouse with terracotta tile roof, cypress trees lining the driveway, golden hour.
Tokyo penthouse loft, industrial exposed concrete, neon cityscape visible from the balcony at night.
Cape Cod beach cottage, white clapboard exterior, wooden deck with Adirondack chairs facing the dunes.
FAQ
Will my real listing photos look AI-generated?
No. When you use Image-to-Video mode, Shortlify preserves your original photos frame-by-frame and adds subtle cinematic camera motion only. The house, layout, finishes and furniture stay exactly as photographed. It is your listing, just moving.
What about MLS / Zillow compliance?
MLS rules vary by region but all mainstream boards allow cinematic video of existing listings produced by the agent. The Image-to-Video mode is fully compliant because it does not alter the property. For pure AI-generated concepts used in pre-launch marketing, disclose "Artistic rendering" in the caption per NAR guidelines.
How long is a typical listing reel?
The sweet spot is 15–45 seconds for Reels/TikTok, and 60–90 seconds for the full YouTube or website version. Most agents render a 15s hero reel + a 60s full walkthrough from the same source photos — two exports, one workflow.
Can I add my agency branding?
Yes. Upload your logo as the final scene (or use an image overlay throughout), and add text overlays for address, price, and contact. All common agency color palettes and font styles are available.
How does it compare to hiring a real estate videographer?
Traditional real estate video costs $200–$2,000 per listing and takes 5–10 days. Shortlify costs under $5 per listing and renders in 15 minutes. The trade-off: you lose the human eye of a cinematographer but gain the speed to film every listing, not just the luxury ones.
Does it work for commercial properties?
Yes — offices, retail spaces, warehouses, hospitality. The Image-to-Video mode handles any interior. For empty commercial spaces you can even ask AI to "stage" the rendering with prompts like "add minimalist office furniture and plants" (generated version only, never for the actual listing).
