Terms of Service

By creating a Shortly account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use Shortly.

Shortly is a software-as-a-service platform that lets you generate short videos using AI. Features, limits, and pricing for each plan are described on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity happening on your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Shortly.

You may not use Shortly to generate content that:

• depicts minors in a sexual or harmful way;
• incites violence, hate, or discrimination;
• infringes third-party copyrights or trademarks;
• impersonates real individuals without consent;
• spreads disinformation or deepfakes designed to deceive;
• is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdictions where it is distributed.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity.

Your content is yours. You retain all rights in the prompts you write and the videos you generate. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to deliver the service (store, render, transmit).

Our software is ours. The Shortly code, interface, brand, and the multi-shot engine belong to Shortly SAS. These Terms do not grant any rights to our IP.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as set out in our 7-day money-back guarantee. Failure to pay may result in access suspension.

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, fix bugs, or update features without notice. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance on our status page.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the AI will produce specific results or that videos will fit your intended use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shortly's total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages.

You agree to indemnify Shortly against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the service in breach of law, or content you generate that infringes third-party rights.

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced by email and on this page 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Paris, France.
