AI Script to Video
paste your script. We render the rest.
You bring the words — we generate the visuals, narration, music and captions. Every scene is composed to match the paragraph it belongs to.
What you get
- ✓Paste a script (any length up to ~3 minutes) — AI extracts scenes automatically.
- ✓Scene generation respects your paragraph structure one-to-one.
- ✓Voiceover timing locks to your script — no truncation, no awkward pauses.
- ✓Burn-in captions transcribed exactly from your script, not re-transcribed.
- ✓Works with screenwriters' / copywriters' formats (dialogue, stage directions).
- ✓Regenerate individual scenes without rewriting your script.
How it works
- 01Step 1
Paste your script
Any written script: a monologue, a product explainer, a story, a social post, a podcast summary. Markdown or plain text — both work. Up to ~3 minutes of narration per render.
- 02Step 2
Pick voice + style
Pick the narrator voice that fits your script's tone (calm, narrator, dramatic, energetic) and the visual aesthetic (cinematic, illustrated, photoreal, anime, editorial). Preview the storyboard scene by scene.
- 03Step 3
Render
Shortlify generates scenes timed to every paragraph, burns in captions (transcribed exactly from your script), mixes royalty-free music, and exports an MP4 ready to upload.

FAQ
- What script formats does Shortlify accept?
- Any written text: plain text, Markdown, screenwriter format (with stage directions and dialogue), podcast summaries. The AI extracts scenes and timing from your paragraph structure. Stage directions (like "fade in") are used as composition hints but never spoken.
- How long can my script be?
- Up to ~3 minutes of narration per render. For longer pieces, render in parts and concatenate. The character-lock system keeps visuals consistent across parts if you're telling a continuous story.
- Can I still edit the script after previewing the storyboard?
- Yes — you can revise the script at any step before the final render. Change a paragraph, regenerate just that scene. No need to restart.
- Will the captions match my script word-for-word?
- Yes. Unlike tools that auto-transcribe from the audio (and introduce errors), Shortlify burns in captions directly from your original script text. Perfect spelling, proper nouns, no hallucinations.
- Can I have multiple speakers / dialogue?
- Yes — use our Dialogue / Mini-Drama mode to generate multi-character scenes with different voices per character, lipsync, and scene coherence. Great for ReelShort-style vertical dramas.
- Can the AI suggest a script if I don't have one?
- Yes — Narrative mode takes a one-line prompt and writes the full script for you. Script-to-Video is for when you already have the words and just need the rest.
